Directions from Atlanta - via 985N
- From the Atlanta airport or downtown, take I-85 North
Continue on I-85 North past I-285 - Take I-85 North to I-985 North (Exit 113)
- I-985 N becomes 23N and 441N heading toward Clayton, GA and the NC state line
- You will enter Rabun County when you go through Tallulah Gorge
- 6-7 miles into Rabun County GA you will see Rabun County High School on your right.
- Go exactly 1 mile past the High School
- Turn left onto Tiger Conn
- On the left at that intersection, there is a Country Store called Goats on the Roof. You can’t miss it.
- Proceed one mile on Tiger Conn. You will come to a 4-way stop. Continue straight. The road changes names from Tiger Conn to Bridge Creek Road.
Stay straight on this road. Make no turns. You will be going approximately 6 more miles to the entrance of Covecrest. (on left)
Directions from Atlanta using GA 400N
- Take GA400 North until it ends (past outlet mall, etc.). From Holcomb Bridge (Exit 7), it’s about 40 miles.
- At the intersection of GA 400 and 19/60 (sign on right: “End of GA400”) Go straight through that light. You are now on 115E.
- Take 115E to the next light (4.7 miles) Turn right and continue to follow 115E towards Cleveland for 12.2 mi.
- Turn left on Wilford Ash Parkway.
- You will see a sign on the right directing you to a left-hand turn toward Helen.
- There is a school on the left side of the road at that turn. (If you come to a traffic light, you have gone too far. Turn around and go back 0.3 miles)
- Drive straight through the traffic light (Huddle House on Rt). The road becomes 75N.
- After 7 miles on 75, turn right onto 17 (towards Clarksville).
- Landmark: Indian Mound on right.
- Continue on 17 for 2.2 miles.
- Turn left onto 255N (toward Clayton). Landmark: Sautee Junction
- Stay on 255N for 7.6 miles.
- You’ll come to a stop sign at Batesville Junction.
- Turn left onto 197N for 3.9 miles
- Turn right at the gas station onto Burton Dam Road for 2.8 miles
- Turn left onto Bridge Creek Road
- Landmark—Large LIFE TEEN Covecrest sign on left and Georgia Power on the right side of the road at the turn
- Continue on Bridge Creek road for 3.8 miles to the entrance of Covecrest. Turn right into the driveway and follow the signs to the office.
Directions to Covecrest from Charlotte, NC, and Greenville, SC
- From Charlotte take I-85 South towards Greenville
- Take I-185 West towards downtown Greenville
- Exit at U.S. Highway 123 South towards Clemson
- Follow U.S. Highway 123 through Clemson and Seneca to Westminster
- At Westminster take U.S. Highway 76 North towards Clayton
- In Clayton at the intersection of U.S. Highway 76 and U.S. Highway 441 turn left (south)
- Follow U.S. Highway 441 past the Wal-Mart less than 2 miles to Tiger Road.
- Turn right on Tiger Road. Ramey’s Gas Station and Food mart is on the right and a rock store is on the left once you make the turn
- Go I mile to the 4-way stop
- Continue straight 5.5 miles (the road changes names at this point to Bridgecreek Road); the entrance to Covecrest is on your left
Directions from (Chattanooga) Cleveland, Tennessee
- From Cleveland, Tennessee take U.S. Highway 64 / Tennessee Highway 74 EAST towards Copperhill, Tennessee
- Continue on US 64 / TN 74 into North Carolina to Hayesville, North Carolina
- Turn right onto North Carolina 69 and travel SOUTH towards Young Harris, Georgia. (North Carolina 69 becomes Georgia 17)
- Merge onto Georgia Highway 2 / U.S. Highway 76
- Travel EAST towards Hiawassee, Georgia
- From Hiawassee continue to travel EAST on U.S. Highway 76
- Approximately 15 miles from Hiawassee you will cross a bridge over the northern section of Lake Burton
- After crossing Lake Burton, the very next road to the right is Charlie Mountain Road. Turn Right
- Take Charlie Mountain Road to the end (3.5 miles)
- Turn Left onto Bridge Creek Road
- Travel approximately 2 miles to the Covecrest entrance on the right
