FAQ's

1. Do you have to be Catholic or belong to Life Teen to use Covecrest?
All groups are welcome and encouraged to retreat at Covecrest.  We host Christians of all denominations including teen groups, adult groups, choirs, and leadership retreats as well as secular and corporate groups.

2.  Can we rent out the entire camp?
Yes, you may have exclusive use of the camp with a guaranteed minimum of 150 guests.

3.  What do we need to bring?
For weekend retreats, you will need a sleeping bag or bedding, a towel, personal care items, and a flashlight.  Be sure to bring good walking shoes for a hike to the beautiful waterfalls.  If your group is doing the the High or Low Challenge courses, you will need closed-toe shoes.  For Life Teen Summer Camp, please see the Summer Camp home page.

4.  Can we cook our own meals?
Groups of 35-50 may reserve the Cole House and prepare their own meals.  The Kitchen is equipped with a stove, oven, sink, refrigerator, and plenty of counter space.  Groups will need to bring everything else (pots, pans, cooking and eating utensils, plates, cups, paper towels, trash bags, etc.).  Groups cooking in the Cole House will be charged $75 per day of kitchen use.

5. Are there special accommodations for clergy?
Mike’s Place is a beautiful, fully equipped 3-bedroom house reserved for Priests and clergy who wish to be present for their retreat group.  We provide linens and towels for guests staying in Mike’s Place.

6.  Do we need to bring supplies for Mass and Adoration?
We have everything that you need for mass and adoration including hosts, wine, chalice, monstrance, incense, and vestments.  If there are multiple groups wanting adoration at the same time, the group who reserves the monstrance first will have priority.  While we supply these things free of charge, we always welcome donations of hosts, wine, 7-day altar candles, vestments, and Christian Prayer books.

7.  Do you put on retreats?
Yes, we are just getting started on offering our own retreats.  Upcoming projects include a Confirmation retreat for teens, a Marriage and Ministry retreat for Youth Ministers, a Family Camp and Theology of the Body retreats.  To receive updates on upcoming retreats, email us at campcovecrest@lifeteen.com.

8. Can we have a campfire?
Campfires are always an option for your group and are included in your lodging fee.  Indicate your interest in a campfire on your reservation agreement and we will assure that you have plenty of wood and fire starter.  We can provide S’mores (graham cracker, marshmallow, chocolate) or just Marshmallows for a nominal fee or you can bring your own.

9. Is there a curfew or quiet hours?
Quiet Hours at Covecrest are 11 PM – 7 AM everyday.  Please be respectful of the other groups and the homeowners who live near the camp.
