FAQ's

1. Do we have to be Catholic or belong to Life Teen to use the camp?

No, we welcome any group to use our facilities when they are available.

2. What do we need to bring for the cottage?

We do not provide bedding, linens and towels.  For weekend retreats, you will need a pillow, a sleeping bag or (Twin) bedding, and towels.  Check with your group leader if you will need anything additional. 3. Are there bathrooms in the cottages?

Yes, each Cottage has around 8 or more bathrooms with showers in it. We have 34 showers on the property and with our future construction we will add double that number.

4. Are there special accommodations for clergy, and adult leaders?

Each Cottage has one or more adult rooms in it.  We also have two separate apartments on the property for usage.  One apartment has 8 twin beds and the other has 6 twin beds.  Both have, a full kitchen and bathroom with a shower. One has a The larger one has a laundry room.  Inquire about availability.

5. What’s the weather like?

Camp RockyVine is located in the hills just above the Missouri River in the heart of Missouri’s wine country.  The entire property, including the gym and chapel, has air conditioning and heat. Depending upon the time of your stay with us, it can be in the upper 90’s in the summer and we also get snow in the winter.   Please check the weather prior to your arrival to know what to bring.

6. Can we have a campfire?

We have a couple locations for campfires for your group.  Both have a nice large cross and benches in-the-round. We take care of this one for you, smores and all!!!

7. Is there a curfew, or a time when we need to be quiet?

Camp RockyVine asks that all groups begin to quiet down while outside by 12 a.m.   Groups are still welcomed outside, just no planned loud activity past 12 a.m.  In regards to the cottages, your group leaders will give you direction.  When sharing the camp with another group, we ask that you please be respectful and mindful of not interfering with their retreat experience.

8. Is our group responsible for cleaning after our stay?

Camp RockyVine asks that all groups leave the cottages and property the same as upon arrival.  Each cottage has specific directions as to the clean up after a camp or retreat stay with us.
