RockyVine is so blessed to have approximately 130 acres of land which has rich history. The Cahokia Indians settled in these hills long ago. Today, some still find arrow heads here. In 1811, Godfrey Duden settled here to build his house, one of the first German settlers west of the Mississippi River. His good friend was Nathan Boone, Daniel Boone's son, whom live nearby.
We have a variety of trails throughout the entire camp. Whether you are up for a good morning hike or cross country run, you will enjoy the views and terrain within the Missouri river bluffs. There are outdoor Stations of the Cross, Grottos, small waterfalls, natural springs, cedar forests, and lush green fields, where some have seen deer, wild turkey, owls, beavers, ducks, hawks, song birds, and if you are lucky, like some you might get a rare glimpse of an eagle or a bobcat. Good luck and enjoy!
